graduation night!

that was a really busy day.

it was the day of our graduation ball. i know it's kinda late to blog about this. haha.

well, i woke up late that morning. i woke up quite late. it was 10.30am. i received 2 smses from joan. then i realised that joan slept at 6am due to the video we wanted to present to ms lee. it was really hard for her. THANKS JOAN!

i called jerald and told him our meeting time. felicia wanted to come to my place for make up. i wash up quickly and left the house to develop the 5R class photo we taken during the chalet. this is part of the present we are going to give to ms lee.

i went to Kodak to develop this photo. wow! the photo very expensive leh. one 5R only cost $3 le. i was told to collect 30 minutes later. tzexin smsed me saying she will arrive in 20 mins. i waited for her at Macdonalds. she was a little late. after our lunch at mac, we head to collect the photo. then we took 284 back to my home.

we settle down for a while den i sent tzexin to the salon to style her hair. it was 2 plus already. i helped tzexin choose 2 kinda of hairstyle and left the salon and went back home. felicia is not ready to meet up with zhixiang yet. she is also doing her hair at another salon at bukit batok. she haven collect the t-shirt and cd yets.

when i reached home, on msn, preben asked me whether i haf a appropriate tie to lend him anots. i thought he bought every thing for grad night already. anyway. i showed him my father's ties and he thought none of them is appropriate. i ask him why not he buy one when he reach orchard but he said it is costly with a minimum price of $30 per tie. lols. he told me he had asked alot of ppl alrdy. so i decided to aid him by calling out to all my "brothers". but most of them i cant get thru. those i get thru dont haf ties. finally i reached steven. he doesnt haf an appropriate tie for preben's attire but he told me in orchard there is a shop that sells ties cheaply at $2 each. i told preben of this good news but he said he cant go there early as he is taking zhaoliang's mommy's car. so i did him the favour.

at 3.45pm, my san jiu mu arrived at my place. she quickly started with dying of my hair to reddish brown. i was super excited as this is the first time i m dying my hair. however due to the time constraint, i was only given 20 minutes to dye it. mean while tzexin return back to my house. she look splendid. i was even more excited than her. lols. after about 30 minutes, i went to bathe and wash off the dye. my aunt start to help tzexin with the make up.

then i recieved fel's message telling me that she had just met with zhixiang and had gotten the t-shirt and CD. she also said that she had boarded the bus. i m still bathing! so i told tzexin to help pick her up on my behalf. however she is also busy with make up. so i quickly wash myself clean. just then my sister reached home. i asked her whether she can pick fel up to our place on my behalf and she agreed. so i quickly went into the room and get myself changed. xiaoyun arrived at my house at about 4.20pm. i started my make up at around 4.30pm, when tzexin is finally done. she quickly get changed into her purple gown.

finally fel arrive at 4.45pm. we are running late of time. we were suppose to leave at 4.45pm. however my make up is not done yet and felicia's have not even started yet. i suggested my sister to help felicia to put the foundation 1st.

i m finally ready at 5.10pm, when i realised that it was raining. felicia just began with her make up. i was worried. as originally i was supposed to reach at 5.15pm the latest. i quickly packed my stuff. at 5.30pm felicia was ready too. i know i had missed out something very important but i just could not figure out what it is then. so we left the house hastily.

we hailed the taxi and got to orchard road in 15 mins. it was 5.50pm. felicia and i alighted at far east plaza for preben's tie. both of us tripped as the road was slippery. one of my heels drop out too. finally we got 2 ties. one orange and one white. then i realised that important thing i had forgotten was the photo we are going to give to ms lee. i quickly call home. luckily. my uncle agreed to help to send it to the hotel. phew!

then felicia and went to take mrt to somerset. jerald called and told me that he had arrived. then he called again asking me whether he can borrow one of preben's tie. so we lent him the white one. finally we arrived at teh hotel. we have several candid shots first. then i recieved zhixiang's call telling me that there is something wrong with the CD. together with yanbing and ronald, we proceed upwards. then yanbing and i learnt that we have to use back the old video. the new one cant be open. 好遗憾! poor joan had work so hard this video lehs! then the result turn out this way. we are all a little disappointed.

so yanbing and i went out of the ballroom. i reminded her about the T-shirt we wanted to give to ms lee. and suggested that we should decorate it at the lobby near the cafe. yanbing and i started to decorate the shirt while other committee started signing on the shirt. the other committee members gather people in groups to sign on the shirt. meanwhile some continue with the photo- taking session.

at around 7.10pm, yanbing and i went up to the ballroom. most of the seats were filled. tzexin get another chair for me and i sat at table 28. i was sharing table with alison benjamin germaine joan maojie preben tzexin wari xiaoyun and zhixiang. soon the ball begun. we started with 2 videos. and then the ladies help themselves with the food. and later the guys.

after dinner. there was several games. one of them is human tic tac toe. for our table we volunteer preben up on stage. later he return back with a slip of paper and a rope. then the emcee announced that each team should haf 2 members out to tie the string on the hand. zhixiang and i tio sabotaged. we were being voted to be the 2 players. our team work hard together. we nid to tie the 5 items on the string to form a line on paper. our items are a $5 note, a 7up or F&N orange bottle cap, 2 cash cards, a pocket calculator and 2 keychains. then we rushed forward on stage.

the first time we went on stage the emcee said we were supposed to tie the cash card on the rope as well. so we quickly went down the stage. other members are off stage standing by to help us. the quickly tie the 2 cash cards on the rope and then zhixiang and i return to stage quickly. BINGO! we won this game. we were told that we will won attractive prizes. but like what we haf expected, it was just some budget chocolate. lols.

the night is still young. we continue with some more games. as time goes by, my saddness accummulated. thinking that i will not longer be with my classmates i become very sad. "tian wu bu san zhi yan xi ma" i haf to "na de qi fang de xia"

that night our prom king was Shaun from 4e1'06 and the prom queen is arsilia from 4e3'06. it's another we haf a malay gurl as the prom queen.

soon it was the last 3 videos of the night. as our new video is not working. we requested wari and daeyeon to deliver our gratitude towards towards ms lee on our behalf. we got the bouquet of flowers ready and shirt. finally, it's our video. the 7 mins long video shown lots of our memories. then it was time for us to present our present to ms lee. after that we took several pictures then it marks the end of our grad night.

then most of the people stayed back for photo-taking session. i enjoy this part the most. and this mark the end of my secondary school life. i m gonna miss it hard!
